I must say Yamaha has been keeping the other brands on there toes for the last few years. Without their bold new stuff coming out, I seroiusly think we wouldn't have half as much as we got from the other brands now. Never got to see the pic myself. :(

By the way, we are not supposed to be able to access this. If you notice, it's in there motorcycle section. A person on another site found this doing a google search. Better copy and paste it before they find out it's public. :blahblah:

Because power-to-weight ratios improve with power enhancement and weight reductions, Apex is an example of the highest tech materials: CF die-cast aluminum Deltabox II frame, titanium exhaust headers, and magnesium valve and chaincase covers. Lightweight hood and aluminum tunnel. Less weight. More power. Greater power-to-weight ratio for terrific on-trail performance.

All-new cockpit makes the rider the center of attention. Taller seat with rear bun and raised handlebars position the rider forward for improved on-trail command. Wide boot-friendly footrests complete the rider-friendly cockpit.

Standard high-torque starter motor means quick, dependable go-power on the coldest mornings. Computerized fuel-injection means no choke. Simply twist the ignition key. Quick. Convenient. Standard.

Four-piston brake caliper and matched, lightweight rotor reduce overall weight while improving both cooling and brake response.

Mono-Shock RA features 46mm aluminum shock body with high-pressure gas damping.

Plastic skis with direct-connect to the wishbone-front suspension are lighter overall and reduce unsprung weight.

A - GENESIS 150FI
Fuel injection controlled by your throttle thumb and Apex's onboard computer. Crisp. Clean. Fuel efficient. Double-overhead cams, 20 valves. And four-stroke advantages of torque, smooth power, durability and now — fuel injection.

B - MONO-SHOCK RA
Dial in your own set-up with this exclusive mono-shock rear suspension's 20 clicks of remote adjustment that fine-tunes your ride for existing trail conditions. This suspension is as easy to tune as 1-2-3.

C - DOUBLE-WISHBONE FRONT SUSPENSION
New geometry provides super-precise handling; zero bump steer means flat cornering and sure-footed control in sweepers and tight, reverse camber turns.

Same here, I couldn't see a pic or anything. Did anybody save this pic to their computer???? If so, please post it so the rest of us can see it.

Damn, looks like I missed it too.... but I guess it won't be long till the official press release. It should be interesting to see what's in store for 2006. I think that a true 4-stroke ditch-banger is in the works... can't wait. Better start saving my pennies....

I see they found their mistake and there is no longer any info available on the site.

For those of you who missed it, they also spoke of the forward rider design. I did copy paste a portion which you can see a few posts above.

Some employees at Yam are going to have a bad day today. :lmao:

They did this last year with the rage/Vector. Kind of like a tease. Guess we will have to wait a bit longer.

Here's more:

NOT FOR SISSIES. BOLDLY STYLED. POTENTLY POWERED. ROUGH-TRAIL READY. The all-new Apex RT. Designed for those who like to ride ahead of the groomer. Thrust in the throttle. Unleash a rapid response from the RT''s Genesis 150 fuel-injected quad four-stroke. Let its computer brain read the atmosphere for best performance. You read the trail. And decide where to plant the Mono-Shock RA rear suspension for best launch off the berm. You''re in command as the wide, hooked-end bars draw you into the action. The all-new saddle keeps you in position. Wide boot-friendly running boards let you stand to ride out the deepest trail pit. On the gas. Down the trail. Hunting moguls.
Exclusive design for easy riding, fantastic comfort, and incredible performance. An easy access dial lets you tune the ride for conditions instantly and effortlessly.

You mean not all sleds have key start? Yamaha four-strokes do. With the added benefit of fuel injection, subzero is no longer a challenge for snowmobilers starting off their day.

Fuel efficiency is a given. But wait for your buddies at the gas stop. It''s the polite thing to do.

Grip and go. This lightweight, durable track gives you great traction in loose snow, grip for breaking trail and go-power out of the hole.

Ride ahead of your buddies — if they''re not on a Yamaha. Do you really want to share their odor?

When your non-Yamaha riding buddies are looking for just the right two-stroke oil, enjoy a second cup of coffee. You have a four-stroke and the only mixing you''re concerned with is cream and sugar.

A. RIDER CONTROL
In the rough, ride location is key. Apex RTX is designed to conquer rough trail. The handlebars are wide and angled for aggressive action. Footboards that fit your boots and a seat that puts you in the middle of the action. Apex RTX makes the moguls back down.
B. YAMAHA QUALITY
The people you ride with will appreciate that the Apex RTX looks great from behind, too, with its dual exhausts and bright, LED taillight.
C. FOX SHOCKS
Aluminum-bodied Fox Air Float shocks conquer terrain with an adjustable air spring working with a nitrogen-charged internal floating piston

Well it is about time they changed the hood

Though it still looks like the RX 1 at least it has subtle changes to make it look diferent :D

The wider body really makes it seem powerful, and not as skinny in direct comparrison to the RX-1 chassis. There was never anything worng with the old chassis, just this newer one is another awsome look for yamaha!. Cant wait to see the others monday!.

yammyman
02-04-2005, 08:31 AM
yeah it does look wider. Kinda looks like a rx1 with a body kit! lol IT is about time they changed it with the rage and all them being well pretty much the same outside, but hopefully monday comes fast! :)

does the apex look like club yamahas racer?

yammyman
02-04-2005, 12:44 PM
I dont think it will, the racer just looks like a rx1 w/o the rear exuast and different graphics.

czy42strokes

Looks like the racer was using the fox floats so yamaha must be satisfied with their performance to put have them as a stock oem part for 06 on the apex.
