Going accross lake nipissing at 60 mph, the PTO piston seized on me. Temp was about -35 C.
I though of questionable fuel, lean jetting, PTO crank seal, who knows.
Got it back to the dealer, they said it had cold seized( 4 pointer )
I had run the sled for about 30 mins before she went!
They replaced the PTO cylinder and piston and I was good to go.
I picked her up last night, went right out onto the lake, at 30 MPH she blew again after 3 miles at -6 C
Its a 02 700x
Dynoport pipe and can.
510n Mains.
DPM.
No others mods.
What could be up with this thing? Why is it cold seizing after it is fully warmed up?
The dealer is saying it may be the Module.
This thing is going to cost me a fortune, and I may never be able to open her up on a lake again.
Any ideas would be great.

i think the fuel we are burning is most of the problem. just look at your plugs they are white.

Look for air leaks. Check everything, cylinder to case tolerences, gaskets, carb boots, etc. Also make sure your oil pump is set right (one notch to the rich), and make sure you bleed the coolant of air properly (nose in the air and run it) Hot water chech your thermostat too. Had this happen to me and I'm still not 100% sure which was the perp. Good luck.

How can a sled that has run for thirty minutes have a cold siezure? If indeed it was a four pointer then somethings not right. Could the aftermarket pipe keep the cylinders so cold at -35 that it binds up? Well if that's the case then what happened this time? Doubt the dealer used aftermarket pistons. I think you have a serious case with your dealer, they repaired the damage the first time but never found the root cause. They think it might be the module?? What about the module? Is it gone wonky and advancing the timing so far it's burning up the cylinder? Only the PTO side? Lots of unanswered questions.

Thanx Guys,
It ended up being the termostat.
It was stuck open, the thing never really warmed up.

But, I traded her in anyways. After two burn downs, I'll never hold her open again.

Picked up a new 02-800 salt lake renegade on Saturday. Love it!! Love it!!

She was an R&D and had 151 miles.

Thanx
