Hi everyone... I tried adjusting the suspension limiter strap on my 1998 MXZ583 last night but once I got the bolts out I couldn't change the hole position because it seemed like the metal washers (on each side of the strap) were connected through the middle.
Does anyone have any feedback on how I can get that washer(s) out? The darn strap has about 2" of play from the previous owner and the front end picks up whenever you touch the throttle.
Thank you!

According to the microfiche on your sled, the washers are not attached to each other.
Did you try prying them apart with a screwdriver?

screwdriver should doo the trick. I always pulled the front strap down one on the s-chassis sleds. wonder why they did the opposite.

I tried prying them but didn't have much luck; sounds like I just need to try a little harder! Thanks for the advice Grimm!

Doesn't that just make your day !!! lying on your side & reaching into the tunnel is bad enough, add the hassle of vulcanized washers and time for drastic measures. Try bending the strap with pliers on each side of the problem washers. Do not grease or add anything to ease future removal. Having the washers stay stuck assures that the straps don't rub through and fray.
