My 2002 MXZ 700 (No DPM, flat-slide carbs) didn't get the gas milage that my buddies 2000 MXZ 700 got with the round-slides. My dealer told me that they made a mistake with the pilot jet size and there would be a fix this coming winter. I e-mailed ski-doo and they said there wasn't a problem. I put 2000 KM's on last winter so it should be broken in. The conditions weren't the best but I was no where near the 15-18 MPG the older 700 was getting. Has anyone heard this? My dealer has tried to order the new jet but he says it's not in the computer yet.

The pilot jet on the 2001(pj 17.5) is the same as the 2002 so i don't see how that is affecting MPG.I would try changing the main jet to suit the condition of the day when you ride.Your jet needle is non-adjustable and your stock main jets should be #510N.I put an aftermarket head on my 800 twin and got another 3 MPG. * *Good Luck
