I saw an RX1 setup and race 660' asphalt this weekend in Kirkland Lake Ontario. I found it impressive and consistent and it seemed well setup, although very quiet. It was dialed in at 7.33 for the 660'. I don't find this a quick time, but seemed like all the sleds were having traction problems off the line. It's a very nice looking sled and very quiet, not like video clip I heard from the Yamaha site. Here's a pic. of it running an SRX (not sure if it's a 600 or 700), which was dialed in at 7.4.

The RX-1 does seem to have the same sitting position as the REV with out looking so radical.

I'm 6'3" and it fit me great. No, you don't sit on it like a REV.

Do you know what mods were done to the sleds? *If both were stock, that doesn't seem like such a big advantage for the RX-1!?! *It looks like the RX-1's susp. might not have been set up for drags.

Cant say I have ever seen sleds racing on asphalt, looks like wheels on the skis, seems like it mike be a bit hairy, do you have to do something to the track? Very nice pictures, thanks.

These guys could not have been pros there suspensions were way too high in the air. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleepy.gif
