I was wondering if any of you guys that have SDI sleds have this problem. It looks like the oil is leaking from the gaskets between the cylinders & the Y pipe. Nothing is coming from underneath the RAVE valves.

The oil is all over the starter, front of the cylinders & top of the case. I've never seen this w/ any of the sleds I've had. I wonder if due to the excessive oil being pumped into the motor, the unburned oil is leaking out?

The sled is going back to the dealer on Monday for this. The previous 2 'doos I had for 6 years were never back to the dealer as many times as this 1 & the second season isn't over yet :cussing: :bash:

I never thought to mention this in the letter I sent to 'doo the other day. I did tell them in hindsight I would have bought the 500SS motor had I known the SDI motor was as troublesome as it has been.

Last winter I ran the original Amsoil in the sled & had no fouling problems after the remap. Well, I've been running the full & now semi-synthetic XPS this year & I've been fouling plugs left & right.

my mach has done this too. check the y pipe bolts and if they are tight the gaskets are shot. tightened mine and cleaned up the mess but it was too late. looked yesterday after ride and the pto side was leaking again. not a life threatening thing but a mess!

Man, I don't know what to say about the SDI.

I must have the only NON-LEMON model or something.

I've got almost 5000, ABUSIVE KM on my 04 SDI.

To this day, I have not fouled 1 plug, to be honest, with the exeption of a bent driveshaft caused buy landing on the top of a jump on a Snowcross track, I've had NO problems at all.

I can't say anything bad about this sled, with the exception of the rather soft suspension that it came with stock.

I've had the Fronts revalved for my riding style and the rears have been replaced with Ohlins parts, specifically built for me to match my weight etc.

mine has been trouble free too. I thought the 1000's had this issue due to them taling the y pipe off to do the coolant hose recall and not properly tightening the lower y pipe bolts. I have No complaints about the sdi setup..........especially at the pumps :)

What kind of fuel mileage are you getting with the Mach, Freak?
