1300 and some change is the melt down point on my ZR.

Thats actually pretty universal, on long runs if your into the lake thing cooler is better usually producing more torque, we`re talkin the 1200 zone. Alot of sleds if your draggin, actually like alot of fuel and lower temps, as there more torqey and et better even though the absolute hp might be down, just another *reason to stay rich. Something to keep in *mind egt`s are like a torch, whatever the temp, it will take so long to burn through the metal sooo... you can get away with murder, some days and on others *another 100` will send you to visit uncle meltie.

Had a set of EGT Avenger II on my ZRT 6 drag sled. 1275 was the mas temp for me, occassionally it would climb to 1300 or so but never melted down.

i have a avenger III on 600triple triple pipe arctic-cat did alot of modificationon it * i hit alot of 1300 degree and never melt on yet have about 8000miles on it *very reliable and securing http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif
