spikegary 02-14-2005, 11:12 AM Cool, though I'm still not jazzed with the seats. Did you get a chance to ride one?
redxcr440 02-14-2005, 01:22 PM you could ride the 05's but not the 06's. They were in minocqua wi for cruiser fest.
NewfieBullet 02-14-2005, 04:06 PM What was your impression from seeing them in person? It really does seem from the photos that Yamaha's version of "rider forward ergonomics" is a taller seat and a set of bar risers.
spikegary 02-14-2005, 05:37 PM Kind of like Polaris painting a Rev and calling it a Fusion?
Yamahammer 02-14-2005, 06:27 PM Its surprising what a little rise in the handle bars will do, even 3" or so. Its really quite effective, even when sitting down, to make the sled go where u want it easier than without risers. When standing on a sled with risers equiped, its usually easier to ride and the bumps take a less of effect when hitting them. The seat just makes the transition easier between standing and sitting.

They are nice, not sure on the whole 4 stroke craze yet, yes there seat and bar ergos are simular to the machz and the fusion. Would have been nice to ride the 06's but with only 9 in the world that was not going to happen.
This is funny, I asked the yamaha rep about the fox floats. I asked why they wern't on more sleds and he said that they retain to much heat to be on the ditch banger sleds. The the htg's are better for that he said.
performancex 02-14-2005, 07:34 PM INteresting about the fox floats.
Those yammis look better above than on the yam website. Can't wait to see them in person.

Ummm, no, more like Polaris tweaking an Edge chassis and calling it a Pro-X2. Funny how all the Non-Polaris people didn't take that one seriously isn't it?
puree 02-16-2005, 10:55 AM them are some nice looking sleds,,,,
being doo was the first to come out with the rev seating, no matter what anyone else does with moving the rider forward, they will always get blamed to copying the rev,,,,
