I stopped in at Carlson's today, and low and behold they have a Crossfire sitting out front, stickered studded and ready to go. I was checking it out, lifting up the back end, and rocking it back and forth and a salesman came out and asked if I'd like to take it for a ride. What a silly question.
Unfortunatly you can just go around the building, so it's hard to get a real feel for it. It's certainly comfortable, and whatever they have on it for carbides bite like you wouldn't believe. Handeling seems really good, and I loved the sound. I was expecting abit more snap, but it wasn't really warmed up either so I'm sure it'll pull pretty good.
I was most impressed at the lightweight feeling. The dry weight is listed at 485lbs, but the rear end feels really easy to pick up, and standing on it it's easy to lift a ski in the air.
The only thing I don't like is that it has M-Cat foot wells, with the completely flat running board. Doesn't work as well with snowboard boots.
I'd love to take one for a day and really put it through the paces. But I'm pretty sure owners will have lots of fun.
