Can I use products such as STP Fuel injector/Carb cleaner in my fuel tank?!?
I haven't seen anyone post anything on this, and since I use it for my car, I thought I might ask you all about using it for my sled.
If I can't use this, is there any product made for snowmobiles that does the same thing? I ride a 1991 Yamaha Phazer LE.
Looking forward to your responses.
Adam.

I use some stuff called Seafoam. Its fuel system cleaner, stabilizer, drier etc..
Works in any gasoline engine, 2 or 4 stroke. Used it in everything, sled, snowblower, car, weedwacker....... Not sure if its available in Canada or not.

I use gasoline. No gas additives in ANY of my motorized things with the exception of fuel stabilizer in the off seasons. In 30 years of cars, sleds, motorcycles, lawn mowers, boats, etc. etc., I have never had a single problem and see no reason for using such additives.

craze,
unless you are running from the law there is no need to keep your location from us.
as for the fuel additives i have put in fuel that would drown out a fire in our north. that's why some of us do it.

Not runnin' from the law. :undercover: Unfortunately, I had one psychotic moron actually track me down and harrass me with multple phone calls about 2 years ago because he didn't like something I wrote on another site (completely unrelated to snowmobiling). Since then, I choose to run under the radar as much as sites will allow. It just took one wierdo.
