Get a manual for your particular sled and check on the minimum thickness that your belt should be run at. At the same time check belt deflection, clean clutch sheaves, and check alignment of the clutches, especially if you're going to buy a new belt.

Grimm, what's the best way to clean a clutch? Thanks, Jamie

Is your belt stock or aftermarket? Most aftermarket belts are a different composite than the OEM and are usually not very efficient. Dimensions are often slightly off, too. I'd hightly recommend a new Ski-Doo belt before doing anything else, and definitely check alignment and adjust your deflection to match the new belt after you break it in 10 or 20 miles.
I only clean clutch sheaves with elbow grease and a clean, dry rag to get any rubber streaks off it. Most chemicals are not recommended as they can soak into the porous aluminum and cause worse problems. I've seen some "clutch cleaner" solutions in catalogs that is probably safe, but I never saw the need to try it.

I've used brake cleaner with very good results. The rubber comes off like nothing.
