Just bought a 94 Polaris Indy 500 EFI for my wife,
but the guy I purchased it from hadn't had it long
enough to ever add any 2-stroke oil.
I want to fill it before we go to the UP, Michigan
this weekend, but I don't know how to tell if it's
regular 2-stroke oil in it or synthethic oil?
Compared to my sled and my friends, running
regular 2 stroke oil, her's has very low smoke
and does not smell the same as ours.

Why not just drain the oil that's in it now so you can fill it with what ever kind you want.

i agree with polaris man 1 just get rid of the old in with the new
