Hi, Last night I had a friend come over to drop of some clutch pullers, so I could pull a clutch on my John Deere JDX8. *It has a Comet 100 c on it. *Anyways, we go to pull. *We put the pullers in and start cranking, and cranking it will not come off. *So we put a rod through the clutch to hold it, because we were applying so much torgue, that i could not hold on tto the clutch. *So guess what happens, the spider lets loose. *By this time there is a little cussing going on. *Since i am getting pissed, and no longer care about the clutch, we put a pipe wrench on the sheave, and start wrenching on, well guess what we pull the threads out of the sheave, so i think my only opintion now is to have it cut off.
