OK, so I blew the crank out of my 98 mxz x 2 weeks ago and am now rebuilding it. I'm putting a new adrian bernard crank and wiseco pro lite piston kit. Now her is the weird part. I bought the wiseco piston kit from kimpex, and they say that my sled comes with a iron bore. Wiseco says that it's a nicasil bore and in the sled's shop manuel it tells me that it has a sleeves. I know for sure that it has no sleeve, and the cylinder walls lookes like it's chrome plated WTF. Does anyone here no what are my cylinders really made of, and if they are chrome plated, can I put the wiseco pro lite piston in it even if wiseco says it's for iron and nicasil bore?

Thanks.

nicasil looks like chrome. check your ring end gap measurement VERY carefully.you may have to grind just a hair off the ring ends. pro-lite can run a hair tight. DO NOT hone the cylinders. wet them up well with 2oil.

thanks guys, called BRP today and asked them why they say it comes with a sleeve. They actually did come with sleeves but then changed them to nicasil. They also told me that nicasil and chrome was the exact same thing, just a different way to call it.
