Ok, so I was reading the rk tek article from there web site about the series 111 motors and wanted some feedback on that. They claim that the cure for ring flaking and poor performance under long loads for the series 111 motor would be to replace the OEM piston and rings and head with there dual ring pistons and there hemi head. Now, has anyone on here installed the rk tek head and pistons on there 800 ho, and if yes, what did you notice with that kit? any performance gain? would you recomend it to other people? doo you have to rebore the cylinders to accomadate the new pistons?

Interesting article jeepster. Not quite sure, is that an American firm or Canadian?
They sure make it sound like it's a serious problem, wonder if it's that bad why Doo's not recalling them? Cost? Reputation?

Opps, forgot to add that in regards to your question, the article reads that they take your cylinders, strip the plating off them, re-bore them oversized and replate.

I run his head on my 800 and would recomend to anybody! The 827 kit you ask about seems to and power and solve the ring issue. The head alone does help with the better cooling.
BTW RKTek is out of Idaho, US.
