newfiebyblood 03-10-2005, 08:31 AM the track is the same as it always was i never done anything with it and it has not loosen off, also i wrap the spring in clock wise is this not right cause that is the way i was told to do it.Was talking to my parts guy and he thinks it is the cdi box

yep clockwise is correct .the first time i ever took apart a secondary i had no books or reference and as i remover the cover from the secondary the whole thing just shot out of my hands .... well when i put it together i took a shot in the dark wrapped it the wrong way and the results were similar to your problem . you had said you did some work on your secondary so i took a shot ...M
Firebirdss 03-10-2005, 04:41 PM Is it possible the clutch requires a different belt? Or maybe your offset is way off?
BCDan 03-10-2005, 04:48 PM Check to see if your primary is binding, sometimes if they are, the engine will spin the track fine when it's on the stand, but as soon as you put the track on the ground, the engine dies... It could be that the new clutch needs to be shimmed to get adaquate clearance for your belt...
CORY9 03-10-2005, 05:58 PM Only ever had this problem once and it was after I had a secondary apart on a Doo, but sounds the same. Hope this helps, and it was a spring adjustment problem. :bash:
