just got a call from my buddy that his sled went missing yesterday when they stopped at the restaurant on the trail for a bite to eat. cant remember the name of the restaurant off hand but it's right on highway 6 and a lot of sledders stop there to eat. he has no theft on his machine so he's out of a sled. this sucks cuz he blew his track 2 weeks ago and just put a brand new camoplast track on that cost him almost $1000. he was inside eating some lunch and came out and the sled was missing. no one saw anything or even noticed it missing and there were a bunch of people outside. his sled was a purple formula Z 583 with a B&B trail can on it. he took the key inside with him so the ignition would have had to be unplugged for it to start.

if anyone sees this sled out on the trails PM me ASAP or call the police. it's a pretty bad situation he's in and i hope he gets his machine back.

the restaurant was the homestead.

I saw one on the pipeline in Vermont yesterday. I saw the 583 on the hood and I just thought you don't see many of them. Sorry I can't remember anything else and wasn't paying much attention at the time, But I'll be back in that area next week and I'll pay more attention for any of that sled. I had an outboard motor stolen from my yard and I'd love to personally break every finger on the hands of the scum bags that steal these things. Some of us have to work and save for the things that we have.

Geeeez, I hope your friend finds it !!! that just well, sucks ! We all work too damn hard for our toys, and its a shame some people are so dishonest. I'm sorry to hear about this :(

good idea Gary. the sled was stolen from Ontario and dont think it would have made it to the US. :D

i was up in that area today and seen a few like that.

I will keep an eye up here in Bruce County for it Joel near Port Elgin. I am off for the next few days and the trail runs right beside my house. Hope we can catch whoever it was that took it.

Did this sled have yellow hand grips on it by any chance??? Ironically I rode with a guy (friend of a friend of a friend) yesterday with a purple Formula Z 583 with a can on it, and he had just picked it up that morning.... suspicious.

hossman, it had the stock grips on it. the most noticeable thing about the sled is the B&B can on it. it also has a smashed up front bumper cuz he hit a post or something with it a few weeks back. u can see the bumper just hanging there!! thanks for keeping your eyes open guys. it's great to have people looking out for others.
