Rode two weeks ago to the southwest and northeast of St J. Trails to the SW were not very good but the Northeast kingdom was great. I went back up this weekend and rode the pipeline and to the northeast. the riding was great it snowed most of the day saturday and picked up another 7 or 8 inches. I've got my reservations for next weekend. :D

Are you staying at the comfort in on the south side of town ? Trails around St Jay used to better a couple of years ago. If you can get out there look to go towards Moore Reservoir ( Waterford ) and ride north on the powerline ( 102 ) from there. Great riding. Glad to hear you had a good ride, better get it in while we still got snow !

Yeah we usually stay there. I usually go with 4 or 5 friends and make a weekend of it. We planned a trip for last weekend from St.Johnsbury to Lincoln where we would spend the night, and back to St. Johnsbury on the following day. We made it to Stowe with great trails, most everything was freshly groomed, Great ride until about 5 miles from Stowe. We hit a plowed road that was about a mile long that wasn't shown on the trail map. (they show one that I planned us around) At any rate Stowe had very little snow left. We made it to Bristol and ran out of snow. We had to go through about 3 miles of mostly bare fields (had lots of mud) to make it to a spot we could leave the sleds. :cussing:
We drove bask to St. Johnsbury for the trailer and then picked up the sleds. Needless to say that was the end of our round trip weekend. After power washing the sleds off I found I tore up my sliders trying to get to where we could pick up the sleds. :cussing:
I'm hoping for one more weekend before I put it to bed for the summer though. We are supposed to get 4" to 6" of snow on wednesday night. Are you due for any of that up there? Man I hope I can find sliders before this weekend.

Unfortunately this last storm is staying south :( , The trail in Stowe used to go right through the middle of town and kinda sucked, but sounds like there was a trail closer....... common problem this year. Trail conditions are going to get worse and worse from here which is too bad. Northern New Hampshire and Deep Northeast of Vermont should still have a couple of weeks left but it will be spotty.
Have to say the year ended a lot better than I expected so I am not too disappointed, its almost APRIL ! I think I might get one more ride in then see how it looks. Good Luck !
