dooing the right thing

I am trying to make the decision on the new sled for next year and am banging my head on the wall. :bash: I love Ski-Doo, but have test rode the 06' 600ho fusion and like it. From Ski-doo I like the MXZ 600 SDI. Looking at it for the gas mileage. So then comes the question what kind of mileage are the four strokes getting from Yamaha getting? I have tested out a 05' RX1 and did like the power. I am debating so hard because this will be the sled for at least 4 years and don't want to get something that I will regret.
Thanks for your help guys

Funny you posted this, cause a couple of hours ago we gassed up the sleds and a couple of RX1's pulled in, both Warriors, a 04 and a 05. Had a good conversation with them (I'm naturally inquisitive) Both drivers claimed 260 kilometers to a tank was no problem. I asked them how big was the tank and they said same size as my Legend, 40 litres. I had that fiqured out to 18mpg cdn, of course that's assuming there tanks were dead empty.

on my vector i got about 19 miles per us gallon on my last trip.

if we didn't mess around so much might have been able to squeeze another mile or 2 per gallon out of it..

love the four stroke and made sure to hara$$ all the 2 stroke guys i ride with :)

Thats funny because a couple guys that I talked with that have the 600sdi rev say they can get 14-19mpg depending on how hard they get on the throttle. That seems pretty good being a two stroke. I did hear this from more than one sdi owner.

I've heard that the 600sdi does well for a 2 stroke. I average 21-22 mpg on my 120 hp 3 cyl Vector. My favorite part about the 4 stroke is that you have more low end torque than you know what to do with. Feels much lighter than it really is. Completely different ride. I can't go back, I'm hooked!
