I made up my mind, after veiwing the new 06 lineup in person , I made the jump to Yamaha.
I bought a 06 RTX 1000 with reverse.
Much cheaper than my next best sled I was considering a 06 Mach ZX.
The mach just looked cheap in comparason tot he Apex.
The Apex seemed to fit me very well, even standing up really worked for me.
Cant wait for next season.
Now if I can get her to get one too, life will be great no stink no smoke, and a great sled .

Congratulations on your purchase.. I too was impressed with yamaha's 06 lineup. It was not enough to sway me from ski-doo but as onthinice said, to each his own and whatever makes you happy is what counts. I will be very interested to see how you like this sled vs your ski-doo. I know, I know, It's going to be a long summer.. :bash:

Scott, I think you are going to love this sled. On paper, this lineup is great and I really like the Attak. Unfortunately, I won't have an opportunity to even sit on one of these sleds until I see them on the trails next season. IF I was buying a new sled for '06, it would be the Attak. But I'm going to wait a season to see what bugs/updates Yammi has to work out of the lineup and see what Cat comes out with. Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this sled when you get some miles on it.

Thats the sled I would be buying if I had the cash. Awesome looking sled. Yammy fit and finish. Hard to beat that. And no more dealings with ignorant jerks over at BRP

Yamaha is getting a lot of converts. I have no doubt that I'll be wearing blue in '07.

Good luck with it! I look forward to hearing your reports. I'm going to the show on Tuesday and look them over. Wife isn't opposed as long as i can keep it in the same price range as my current sled.

that sure can affect the buying area. there must be a good Yamaha dealer northwest of Listowel because there are a pile of them on the trails up there.

I'm jealous, Scott! Loved the new Yamahas at the preview show last week, but not quite enough to give up my '05 MXZX 600HO SDI. Maybe after next season...
