hey i got the indy5xcsp.... a kid at our school wants to race me with his formula z...i raced them last yr but it was his father and they said that they alos had a crappy belt on there.and that once we finished racing it blew like 2 miles furhter down the trail...as far as i know the formula z is stock..no studs or nuttin..as for my xcsp its got 96 studs with 2300 miles on it,boost bottle..new drive belt..regular jetting(for the temp and altitude..dont know exact size) and a more of a racin type hilex in it (also not sure...but look quiker out of the hole) have i got a chance in hell..i think so but i dont know..raced 96 mxz 583 and beatin with not to much problem...whata ya think?-INDY

Go for it I am totally into racing win or lose. *Some you win some you lose you will never know till you try. *And when you spank him, do it again if it is that easy.

Hello i think you have a very good chance of beating him i was at a few races and saw a guy with a 1998 xcr 440 ves clean house untill 600 singal pipe *improved the thing was flying he walked a way from 583 like they were stopped at least 4 or 5 snowmobile lenghts in 660 i think had v force in and a polaris raceing track good luke to ya KILL EM

Believe it or not, Ive seen XC500sp's keep up with a ZR600(slightly modded) to about 90mph.

That 500 Indy is a quick sled, if you get the holeshot, you should be able to take it. *Don't race a 500 MXZ though, it might be a different story. *Those little buggers run too.

My wife has a 500xcsp and my friend has a mxz583 and he can get her by a couple sleds! He has a diffrent rotary valve and studded other then that they are both stock!

i think u will kill him. i have a 2002 xc 500sp and i was drag racing today and won stock 500. i also have beatin a zr 600. my sled was stock. with 96 studs. but for drags i lowered it and clutched to enaged at 5500 rpms and geared for 660 ft.

okay what the heck is going on a month or two ago someone asked if a zr 500 would beat a form Z 583 and pretty much everyone said no way but when they ask if the XC 500 could beat a 583 most people said ya....the ZR 500 and XC 500 have always been pretty much equal running machines granted the XC had an advantage once it got the VEV's but now that the ZR 5 has the APV's they will trade wins all day yet the XC will beat the 583 and the ZR 5 doesn't have a chance in heck something doesn't sit right

Huh well me being a doo man and all I tend to want to think the 583 will win. *But then I look at the other side of the story, the exhaust valve 500 polaris is a damn strong motor, putting out about 100hp. *I never ran the polaris, but I have ran a s-chassis 583 and it was pretty even. *Stock to stock it will be a good race, but I'd say of you have your goodies working right you'll take him.

A more pleasant race (for you polaris people) would be a Xc600 with power valves versus the 583, ####, those run.
