the zr has no chance!!! stop dreaming. the only time a zr would be in front is if the polaris 700 was stopped and waiting for twenty minutes!!!

He didn't ask which was the fastest sled, he asked which is the better all-round sled.
Perhaps be a little more specific as to what you are after in a sled, acceleration, top speed, ride quality, fuel economy etc...

Just picked up on the fact you guys own these two sleds, joined on the same day and live in the same area. Guess it's a personal thing is it?? Bragging rights? :D

I'm guessing they are brothers or good friends....

Out west we all run mountain sleds, I haven't seen a short sled in a few years, nothing shorter than a 136" around here. So as far as the ZR or short track sleds go that are in question, I have never ridden either.

However, As for which is better all around....I have spent a lot of time on Cats and am now riding Polaris.

I have found that my Vertical Escape Polaris is slightly better quality than my dad's King Cat. I get better mileage, less oil consumption, better ride, better handling, MUCH better looks ( :blahblah: ) than his main Cat.

Our 2 older Cats have been good snowmobiles to us but for their age, have very low mileage and have both had the jack shaft bearing where the speedo is connected go out once.

Not to mention Polaris has reverse.
