XCR583 08-29-2002, 08:46 PM Find a good Welder http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
Team_Arctic 08-29-2002, 08:47 PM yeah i knwo i didnet buy it and my dada got it at a auction and he did bid ona a chevy * its my first truck i just want it to work my dad is pretty bumbed cuz he thought he did so good then get saw it was broke http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif this just ruins the day but the truck does already have a *AC sticker on the windsheild!
Machzzzz1 08-29-2002, 09:25 PM Holy crap. *Dont worry about it. *Minor.
Just go into any local mechanic with a welder (all of them.) And he will get you back on the road. *Most people love to weld.
And parts for that truck are dirt cheap and easy to find so dont sweat it. *
Theres so many things you can do, Bolt it, weld it, replace a frame member if its an option, etc. *
Im sure it wont cost that much either.
I suggest finding a old school mechanic like a guy in the county for this. *City ford dealers will tell you crap and recommend stuff and parts that dont need to be done. *A country guy will fire up the arc or mig and get you on the road. *And its the fixes like this which are usally the last to go.
This crap happens everytime i start up my camaro (somthing brakes.) *Everything can be fixed.

007oodiks 08-29-2002, 09:29 PM don`t get to bummed , if it aint new you`re bound to have to fix some stuff. I would find a good welder in you`re area.you did not say what let go to cause the leak but prob a hose.fix the leak and clean it up good or they will not be happy(the welder) If it was me I would also be sure all the bolts come out easy, cause if they need to remove or just move the box to doo a good job the less work they have to doo = less$$ good luck jeff in nh

I know that the old Chev body style (up to '87) had the same problem and there was a kit available to reinfoce the frame. Maybe try going to a couple 4X4 sites and ask around if a kit is avaiable for a Phord. *Good luck Danny!
