I work for John Deere landscapes in Minnesota selling irrigation supplies and was wondering if anyone here does sprinkler installs for a living ? yes i'm board

with any luck my lawn will die and then a big cement truck drive off the road right into my swimming pool. :whistling:

No in-ground sprinklers here. We've talked about it, but I'm concerned that living in northern MN, there would be a lot of repairs going on with the freezing and frost.

Skidont, do you know anything about those above ground sprinkler systems? We were thinking of doing something like that for our flowers/plants. The hoses get covered by the mulch and everything just gets put away for the winter. They're very inexpensive, so maybe they don't work well or last long?

if everything is blown out properly it won't freese . I think what you are asking about is xerigation . go to www.hunter.com or rainbird.com and you can see what they make . i'm trying to talk the boss into opening a new store around Duluth but they say it is to rocky for irrigation , Dan

Couldn't use them up here, the terain is too rocky. Besides, the summer season is so short really don't need one.

i am a refrigeration mechanic , that works for a plumbing company.We install probably about a dozen or so systems a year.
I usually dont get involved because i am very busy at that time of the year, but every once in a while i chip in,Its a nice break for me.

I installed one myself last summer. It's really not that bad once you get into it.
