Just got this story from Snowtrax TV naming the 05 RS Venture their Real World Sled of the Year. Quite an honour, they name one sled a year based on the seasons riding. Congratulations to Yamaha! If I can figure out how to attach the story I will.

I seen that too when I went to Snowtrax' site
The MXZ 600SDI won last year
just proves Yamaha has a winner with the 120 genesis :sly:
very nice sled and very quiet

The Genesis 120 engine is the perfect engine for a touring sled. Quiet, smooth and fuel-efficient.
Good for Yamaha!

Pretty sure we'll see that 120 in alot more than just touring sleds, perhaps an EFI version in the near future?

Congrats to Yamaha!!
EFI will surely come sometime in the future and when it does, wow!
These ventures are preety amazing, they do everything well.
Just another example of what to expect from big blue!, no real surprise that another Yamaha was named sled of the year, and it prolly wont be the last time either!

I personally think that you will see a lot of the magazines name Yamaha sleds as sled of the year and best in class.
I think either the Apex GT or Attak will win sled of the year. I also think that for the trail cruiser class you will see the Vector GT do very well. Now that the Vector has the Monoshock RA skid its going to be an even better sled (it was darned good last year with the ProActive).
Yamaha still needs to return to the bottom half of the market though. I for one refuse to spend $8000-$10,000+ on a sled. For me to be a Yamaha owner again, it forces me to wait for a good 3-5 year old used sled.
