98 zr 600 broke the rear right engine mount. flywheel side. Noticed two different part numbers for the two different runs of sled production that year. *Any body know the difference. Or if there is a stronger one. Seems like a weak design.

Also how do you the exhaust flang not to leak at the cylinder reguardless of new gaskets or not. *Seems like a cronic cat problem.

I have heard of that happening but to people that really beat the crap outta of a sled. if you are an easy rider then i would say its a flaw but a couple of years of abuse and that can happen. If you catch it early enough damage is minimal

I've got a 98 & 99 ZL and all you have to do is get some of that high temp rtv gasket sealer and put that on it. Dont even bother with new gaskets. It works great. The stuff I got is orange.

you should be happy you dont have a 96, i've replaced every mount on my zert last year..nows it part of my pre trip maint. to check all my mounts, i guess with all that power something has to give...
