1994-96 Snowmobiles - Brakes/Handlebar Problems

Brake Problem:

19,320 snowmobiles sold 3/93-4/96 for $6000-$9000, including '94-96 Storm and Storm SKS (model numbers 0945582, E945582, 0945782, E945782, 0955582, E955582, 0955782, E955782, 0965582, E965582, 0965782, E965782); '96 Storm RMK (0965982); '96 Ultra, Ultra SKS, and Ultra RMK (0960578, E960578, 0960678, E960678, and 0960978); '96 600 XCR SP (0965677).

Handlebar problem:

19,327 snowmobiles sold 3/95-4/96 for $5000-$7000, including following '96 models: XLT Touring (model numbers 0963357 and E963357); Classic (0963865); 500 SKS (0962564 and E962564); 500 EFI (0963774); 500 EFI RMK (0962974); Trail (0962761); Classic Touring (0963365 and E963365); 500 (Carb) (0962764); 500 RMK (0962964); 500 EFI SKS (0962574); Trail Touring (0962262 and E962262); and 440 (0962760). Serial number is o*n right side of tunnel where driver's right foot rests.

What to do:

For brake problem, have Polaris dealer install support bracket to keep engine-coolant tank from expanding. For handlebar problem, have dealer check and, if necessary, replace handlebar.
