Throwing this out here cause around here I can't find a motor for my boss's old John Deere bulldozer
it is a mid 60's 1010 crawler with a 4 cyl diesel motor.
block number T*16162T motor model TI2213T.
A block only, long or short block or complete motor, all will be considered,we have most internal parts but our only block has a rod poking out the side http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif .
Thanks in advance,I know some of you must know of something in your'e areas

There is also a couple places I can tink of Don's tractor in Alpena MI (kind of a goofy guy and high *priced) and there is a place in either Cheboygen or Onaway that deals in tractor stuff. My stepdad goes there all the time. Kevin

Go to a Deere construction equipment dealer and have them put a request out on the wire...they can usually find one through their parts system or through the remanufacture part system.
I work for a Deere dealership and it works...you just have to do a little leg work, unless you're looking for one for nothing.

If I am not mistaken, the 1010 Dozer used the same diesel as the 1010 tractor. Not one of John Deere's happier engines, since it is the design with the 4 sleeves on a single plate that gets sandwiched between the head and the block. But, most decent tractor wrecking yards should have something around since the engine was common. *I don't know how many yards you have in that part of the country, but they are pretty common here in the midwest.
