SB: 2000 Summit - Performance/Misc Issues

Skidoo 2000 Summit* 800 H.M. And MX* Z 800 Bulletin

PROBLEM:

A: At altitudes of 2400m (8000ft) or more, rider may experience a lack of performance from his snowmobile engine.

B: Furthermore, carburetors enrichner plunger shaft "E" clip may come out of position and fall off which could cause damage to plungers

VEHICLES AFFECTED:

2000 Summit* 800 H.M., 1581, ALL (problem A & B)
2000 MX* Z 800, 1635, ALL (problem B)

SOLUTION:

A: Change DPM pressure manifold, replace and program MPEM, change carburetor main jets and needles, relocate DPM vent hole.

B: Change plunger shaft and "E" clip.

PARTS REQUIRED:

For problem A: required parts are supplied by ordering kit (part number: 590 030 800).

For problem B: required parts have to be ordered separately and as per needed quantity o*nly; Set Screw P/N: 404 161 949, Ring P/N: 404 161 951, Shaft P/N: 404 161 952
