SB: 2001 Skandic 600WT LC - Engine Detonation
Skidoo 2001 Skandic 600 WT LC
PROBLEM:
Magneto side carburetor is too lean. Ignition timing is too advanced. Lastly, engine may overrev. All these situations may cause engine detonation leading to piston failure.
Models Affected:
2001 Skandic 600 WT LC, 1810/1811, ALL
SOLUTION:
Skidoo dealers will readjust TRA calibration, replace original 310 main jet in magneto side carburetor with a new 330 main jet, ensure air screws are set to 1 1/2 turns out, and recalibrate MPEM.
PARTS REQUIRED:
330 Main Jet - Part Number: 404 101 400
