I got a 02 zr 600 carb and was looking for a good aggresive clutch setup for trail riding and the occasional friendly drag race. Its got an epi setup in it now and am not real happy with it as it didnt seem to do a whole lot for the machine. Thanks

I have the same sled with a Super Torquer heel clicker kit.

I COMPLETELY blueprinted the center to center, offset and the side play in the secondary. I balanced both primary and secondary clutches (Fett Brothers).

I don't have the specifics of my parts handy (notes in the garage, I'm at work) but I can easily outrun XC 700's, some F7's.

Good all around settup but it took some time and tuning....

The ZR 600 is a slow sled to start with. My Zr500 was was with in a sled length in a drag race. Dont expect to add a clutch kit and be able to run with 700's! By adding a clutch kit you will be able to keep up with other 600's of its class. Erlandson does make some good kits. I would check your clutch alignment and recheck you spring settings in the secondary. If its still not running good I would call Chad at Erlandson.

I would get a D&D single pipe, clutch kit, and get a 1 1/4 ripsaw track. The ZR6 is a good machine but its not the speedster people thought it was going to be. I was so unhappy with my ZR6 that I pulled the motor and installed an 800 twin. w00t
