I have too many toys in the barn! I need to move a sled or two.

I have owned this Exciter for several years. It was purchased from a neighbor as a non-running machine with drive system problems. To its credit, it was always stored inside. The gentleman I bought it from was the original owner.

I went completely through the motor. All new gaskets and seals. Carb meticulously cleaned and rebuilt. New pistons +.10 over. Bored and fitted by local Yamaha dealer. Starts easily and runs great!.

The bearing on the front drive axle on the speedo drive side had gone out so I took the drivetrain completely apart. New carrier and bearing on the speedo drive side, new axle. New hyfax, most idler wheels or their bearing replaced while apart.

The hood, seat and tunnel are in very good shape. Sled cleans up real nice for its age. Some of the chrome has corroded on the front bumper. There is a small crack and some yellowing on the windshield, but it is certainly presentable.

The sled runs out good. It is a hoot to ride! After being spoiled by the newer machines it can be therapeutic to get on an older machine and experience that less refined back to basics ride!

Less than 100 miles since rebuild. Just ridden around our country home when good snow conditions exist.... not a mud-runner. Track in good shape. Includes a cover. I may be able to deliver within 100 +/- miles or so for $1/loaded mile.

There is nothing that I can point out that requires attention on this sled. I am selling because I bought it as a fix up project (I'm weird that way). I just don't have much occasion to ride locally and I need room in my barn.

Sled is tucked away in the barn, stabil'd and covered but I can try to get pictures if needed. Not sure how to post one here.

You can belielve me when I tell yo that I have spent more in parts and shop time than my asking price. The Blue light special is on to make some room.

Thanks!

I have received several requests for pictures. I think I have figured out how to post them so I'll attempt to attach a few.
