Right now i have a 94 polaris indy classic 500, i ride with my friends and they all have doo's accouple revs and some formulas. Right now my sled can barley keep up wiht them on trails and on the lake its not even funny how bad they play wiht me lol. Next year i want to get a 04 or 05 f7 or a f6 efi s/p. I just wanted to get a good idea what these sleds are about, how they ride, i weight aobut 150, how they hook up with studs or w/o studs. Im also going to look on the recals bc i no these sleds had some probs.

Thanks a lot,
Ben

well i got some info for you. The fcats do rock. i am also 150 lbs and u better stay away from the SP unless u are into some serious jumping, and not this 5 foot stuff. the standard will have all the suspension you need. thats what i have ( 04 F6 EFI with sno pro track )and it works great. now my bro he has a 04 f7 with the sno pro shocks and hates it and he wieghs 240 lbs. he does like it in the ruff stuff and with his wieght he needs it, but he says when he gets into a trial that has them small wash boardy bumps, his sled beats his gutts out. i guess its true because he cant hang with us on them trials. as for power, the f7 is pretty hard to beat but if u are riding with 600 revs and formulas all u need is the f6. the fcat hooks up really really well. as far as efi goes, nothing needs to be said because its flawless. I would just recomend staying away from any 03 f7. yes there are guys out there that have 8000 mile on them and havnt had a problem but a lot of them have been nightmares. better safe than sorry. each year cat seems to have made handling improvments to the fcats so the newer u buy the better. good luck and if u have any questions just let me know. i'll try and help as much as i can.

I would be one of the guys with the miles on an 03 f7 and I love it.... if you do come across an 03,,, make sure the recalls were taken care of on it. as long as they were, you are fine, but if they werent, buy something else!!!

Another 03 F7 with lots of miles and no problems. Just gotta get the updates done and the bearings on the drive train swapped out. No recall I don't think but there should have been one.
