Probably stator. snow800 09-02-2005, 08:56 PM Unplug the wiring going into the stator. There will be 2 yellows, a brown and either a black or purple wire in a 4 wire rubber plug. On the wiring going into the stator, Take and run a jumper wire and jump the two wires together that aren't yellow and try to start it. If it runs you have a broken wire somewhere, if it doesn't, it is a bad stator. puree 09-03-2005, 10:16 PM you can pick up a used rewound stator for around 150$,,,, you find them on ebay all the time and its a company in Michigan that is doing it and they even guarentee the stator for a year I believe | ||
