Will have to replace my work van soon and have been considering the dodge sprinter. Saw them all over the place when I was in Europe a few years ago and knew it would be only a matter of time before they got here.

Am looking for driving or operating experience if anyone has any

Thanks

i have some friends in the cigarette underworld that like them. i always figure that if they can afford them they are too much money, but those guys are mileage runners and that is where those pay off. for a close to home van they have to be too much van and the pain i think will not be worth the gain.

I drove one of those around Last Christmas...

They're neat to drive, but then again they're big..... and pricey I think.

James with that rig you can lose the trailer and pull right inside. I used to do that with two Econolines I had, carry a ramp and pull inside.

Our service department has started to switch over to the Sprinter soley on gas mileage (we are a CNC machine tool dealer, and have 9 techs that repair equipment) but have found another advantage to the Sprinter is up-keep. They require about 50% the cost for maintenance also. That diesel is longer between oil changes, and the increased torque pulls weight much easier than the E250s we had. They are actually easier on brakes, tires, etc....

Our oldest one is a year old, and it has been a savings of 40% over the last year on maint.
