My friend has a 4 stroke sled. I don't want to be called a brand basher so I won't say what brand it is. When we go sledding he has to plug in his sled every night or it won't start in the morning. It usually drops down to between 10 above to 10 or 15 below (fahrenheit) at night. My 2 stroke pulls a little hard at this temp but always starts on the 2nd or 3rd pull in the morning.

I'm looking at and will most likely buy the rage or attak this season. My question is, Does anyone else with a 4 stroke have to do this, or should he see his dealer about a repair? I don't want to have to plug it in every night.

Must be an isolated case, otherwise the guys would be making alot of noise over a cold start issue such as this, and rightfully so. Whats the point of owning any sled that won't start when it's cold?

Never had an issue with my RX-1 or Warrior. I remember the first weekend out on my new RX-1 and the first night it dropped in the -30's. We woke to -28 and all I could think was; "boy am I gonna hear it from my old Doo Faithfull riding buddies" Guess what?? Out of 6 sleds mine was the only one that started right up. 2 03 revs, 2 02 mx's a 99 MachZ and my 03 RX-1. Every 2-smoke must have taken 20 very hard pulls to get started. Once started they smoked out the entire parking area. The following morning one of the revs wouldn't start and had to be towed into the landlords garage to thaw for several hours.
