My guess is 80 HP. I used to have one but never did know how much HP it had.

As a general rule = 15 - 17 cc / HP.

James Watt performed some experiments and determined that a horse could lift 550 pounds at a rate of 1 foot per second. This unit of power, 550 foot-pounds per second, became known as the "Horsepower."

Short answer = Get the sled on a dyno

* Exciter I ( 1987 --> 1990 ) Stock : 77,2 Hp / 7200 Rpm

* Exciter II ( 1991 --> 1993 ) Stock : 84 Hp / 7500 Rpm

* Exciter II SX ( 1993 ) Stock : 93,4 Hp / 7600 Rpm

this would mean that a 570 would put out 35 hp that's wrong.

If i had to make a guess, I'd say that your sled is a twin cylinder. So if each cylinder is 570, thats 1140cc total. 1140/15=76hp. So its pretty close.

Im assuming your just joking around, because the total displacement of both cylinders is 570cc, not just one cylinder being 570cc

As for power, im guessing around 70-80 at least.

do you know what you are talking about? what makes the exciter II have more power than the exciter I?

Wow, I got a good laugh out of that one! :lmao:
Exciter's TOTAL discplacement is 570cc. This means that each cylinder is 285cc. :thumbsup:

No need to guess anymore as Lasse has already answered the question..

Hmmm.... A early 1990's Yamaha Exciter II .... You want to know how much horsepower it has? ... Hmmm ... I could count using my fingers and maybe need my toes if the sled was going downhill.

You probibly dont know anything about the exciter, it cant be a 90's exciter II because the exciter II came out in 91. by the way ski-doo's are weak, wait I dont even have to count your ski-doo has 0 horsepower. :whistling:

Since when do sleds make more HP when they're going downhill? :lmao: Sounds like you're bashing it just because it's not yours. :cussing: :devil: :whistling:
