i need to run a new belt for the grass drags, any tips on how to break this thing in without the typical 10 easy miles of riding? will running it on the stand be enough??? thanks for any tips!

Looks like you dont have much of a choice, just give the belt a good bath in hot soapy water, make sure the clutches are clean, warm it up on a stand and let her go!

No tricks...just heat and cool cycles for long life.

But for racing wouldnt a nice new sticky belt work best?

A brand new belt needs to be washed in hot soapy water to remove the agent used to release the belt from the mold.

thanks for the replys, i always wash the belt, i was a little worried about a new belt blowing up due to no break in.......
