How about a compromise, run 120. do a 2-3-2-3 modified V pattern. Freehand drill them for best scatch. This worked great on my 700 mxz, hooked up nice. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/exclamation.gif

I thought if you put all your studs down the middle, when you hit the throttle, you just dig yourself a hole?

The official wording is that the studs in the center belt are for acceleration and the studs in the outside belts are for cornering.

96 is ok for the 600,my dealers shop sled is an 800 with 96 down the middle of the 1.25 track and he has over 3000 miles on the track with no tear-outs or pull throughs.

Dooman, wouldn't you agree it varies with the riding style? *I have 192 throughout my track without on tearout or pull through.
