personally i think this year is gonna be just like last year for everyone. *its already hot as #### 90-100 in most areas. *and its gonna be above average temps for as long as the forecasts go, so im betting on a year the same as last.

I like that Machzzz1. *I'm thinking(hoping) we will have an average year here in ND. *It would be nice to be riding by thanksgiving but I definetly wouldn't mind a year like when I bought my current sled and I was breaking it in on dear hunting opener.

My guess is close to the average of 100" , that is averaged at our airport,(south of me)always get more closer to Lake Ontario. If not, drive to Tug Hill, usually get between 150"-300" per year there.

"NORMALLY" we get about *240 inches of snow every year in Mancelona, * Michigan. * *From Mancelona to Elmira is the "Snowbelt" of Northern Michigan.

I heard that one extreme follows another, I hope that means a cold wet winter. *I don't ride around home much anyway, no trails just ditches and fences to hit. But it would be nice to test and tune in snow and not grass!!!

WEll given that its cold enough, I'm hoping for a very good winter. *Usually the amount of snow we get depends on the lake and the amount of lake effect we get. *If nothing else I do own a trailer and a truck. *Upper michigan here I come.

IM not extremly worried about the snow situation, last year was a horrible winter and i logged 4550 milles because when it does snow here it comes in anywheres between 1-3ft, hopefully we'll have a good winter though, seeing that we have some hot sleds comin out cant wait to get my f7 snopro http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif *if not i WILL drive to where the snow is * *

Here in southwest minnesota and southeast south dakota, I'm thinking will have an above average year since a mild el nino is supposed to hit us. *It is starting to cool off now too. *I believe this was the 2nd wettest August in SD history

I just finished reading an article on the drought we've had this year and the last sentence said the National Weather Service was predicting low percipitation through the winter. *

But then again these are the same yahoos that can't figure out if it's going to rain tomorrow. *So I'm hopeful.

I was told that you always get the same amount a precipation every year, weather is comes in rain or snow the same amount will fall in one year so after having such a dry summer here in quebec i guesse this wimter will be good if what i heard is true ! *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Lickin' *I just bought a new trailer yesterday so I'm with you. *I live in the west country parts of south bend so I know the pain. *But im always looking for new people to ride with so we will have to hook up sometime. *Only problem at this point is that I still dont have my 440 prox and have no clue when i can expect it. But when it comes in, i'll have a garge full of lightweight parts and mods

well i believe that this august in maine was one of the DRIEST weve ever had, we got less then .10 inches of rain. *hmmmmm this all sounds familier..... * *LAST YEAR! *now its mid september and were still in the 80's!!! *in maine! *its supposed to be 60. *but supposedly its giong to cool off a lot, like 50's during the day and 30-40 during the night! *next week is supposed to be raining every day.

dooittoit ... *Your the one who has been hogging all the rain !!!
A couple weeks ago they reported that this was the driest August on recorded weather history here in Southern Ontario . I forget what the total precip was but is was similar to sledcrazy's .10 inch
I still haven't formed an opinion on how much snow we will have this winter , some of the long range predicitions are calling for a very dry winter . But I think there may be less snow fall in areas and other places will get dumped on like what happened last winter in New York City. Any how it is cooled off here and we are getting a bit of rain.

I just heard the prediction for Minnesota coming from a leading Climatologist in the area. *He predicts about normal temps and normal snow. *Considering what we just had, that'll be just fine.

The farmer's almanac is calling for a "bad" or in our case, good, winter this year. But this week the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced that the was another El Nino this year and it would be warm and dry in the northern US.

Lets hope the farmers are right!
