What do you think about the skidoo 380 fan. *How fast would this go.

I figured i need some back up when things get heated on here.

Truth is that for years i didnt ride with that many people just a few friends. *Last year a lot more of my friends got involved and im trying to get them on here.

Sledding is the ultimate sport. *I never saw anyone that got of a sled and said they had a bad time.

Machzzzz,
Now we know the whole truth. Yeah you were beating big twins all this time with your triple but you never said they were 340's. 340's were considered big twins 30 years ago. And why are you pickin on novicegirls with fan sleds to race anyways.

Melissa, listen to the lady ! a 500 is realy the best starting size you can get, the *380 is good if you dont leave the groomed trails ! *Good luck and Hope you enjoy your stay here *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Melissa,
*I bought 2 new 02 MXZ 500fans for my teenage boys last year.. I have ridden them and they are a blast.. Light weight, great on gas and pretty quick.. Top Speed I would guess is around 70's? *One thing to look at this year is the 550 fan from SD. *This is supposed to be a really nice sled.

Evel

Notice I am a little big for the 500 fan *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sled dogg,
*That was in my front yard.. The 500 fan has some good power out of the hole.. It surprised me. * It also has the old SC-10 so the weight transfer is great..

Cheers,
Evel

I'd go liquid cooled personally. Top end on my 500lc was 98mph. It was on Limrick lake and it was hard packed. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

LadyK,
*I thought the post was asking about a sled for someone just starting out?? *My wife has gone over 100 on her 700 Doo a few times *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif * She also likes to ride my Mach Z too but it's too heavy for her on the trails.

How is the MPG on your gade?? One of my friends has this sled and the mpg was pretty bad.. I am not sure if it helped after the update?? His is a 2002 800.

Cheers

My starter sled was a 1998 formula 500 bought at the end of the 98/99 season http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif The triple triples are too heavy and cost too much in gas for me.Besides id never be able to start it :DI had an 2002 700 mxz last year and that puppy sure did move.Had her to the bar lots of times in Cochrane.

Ive had 2 updates done to my gade and usually ran about $60.00 bucks a day in fuel in the cochrane area last year.Thats driving up there where cruising speed is 100mph LOL *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif Mine is a 2002 800 as well.60 bucks a day to what you love most doesnt seem to high a price to me http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Also in cochrane YOU NEVER PASS UP A GAS STATIONlol. I wasnt too unhappy about the mpg. There were a few grumbles in the pack but no real disapointments.Rockets that go fast need fuel http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
