My sled has some problems, spring 2004 I noticed that there was dead grass where I park my sled. I thought nothing of it. But this past winter I took my sled out and ran out of gas more than once. Is there anything that would easily explain this?? I didn't find a line that was obviously broken.

Thank you

Did you put it away with a full tank? Heat expansion during the spring may have caused it to overflow through the vent.

No, i completely empty it every season. It leaks even in a less than an hour I will go through 2-3 gallons of gas.

Have you pulled the tank and checked for leaks where it contacts the tunnel?

If it is leaking 2-3 gallons in an HOUR, you gotta be able to see it. Like Zog said..start with the tank and work toward the carbs, and check everything. There is definitely a risk of fire if you can't get it fixed!

If all the hoses are ok and there are no leaks in the tank, look for either stuck needle valves in the floats of the carb or a ruptured fuel pump diaphram that is allowing gas to enter the crankcase via the impulse line.

Hope that helps..
