Ok, what would you do, and why? I'm jumping ship from Doo...and need some help!
I have a chance to get a good deal ( I think anyway..)
Brand New 2001 ZL600 standard with 0 miles for $4200 or a 2005 Sabre Cat 500 LX with 425 miles for $5000
OK.... Opinions Please Thanks in advance!

$5000 is a bit steep for a 05 Scat 500
You can get new in Canada 05 Scat 500 for about $6000ca

i'd go with the saber cat. better ride. it would all depend on your weight i'd say.

I'm a big guy, 250+ Gee I thought the "scat" sounded pretty cheap considering MSRP was about $6400 and only 425 miles, Does the ZL sound like the better deal?
I have heard they (Scat) feel a bit tippy, maybe not the sled for a big guy huh ?

you mean sabercat tippy ?
250 may be too much for a 500. you may be better with 600 or 700 jmo

Get the 600. More power and looks better in my opinion.

Go for a Sabercat, great chassis and the 05's handle pretty good. step up to the 600, cause they rock :D

Your a pretty big dude for a lil old 500, IMHO the 600 would be much more suitable.

Well, I ended up taking a ride up to Houlton Power Sports, I picked up a New 2001 ZL 600 EFI for $3999. out the door. They had some pretty good buys up there (I thought).
I dropped it off this morning to have Reverse installed.
Now all we need is snow.

FB, how do you like your ZR 600? anything to be aware of?

Great choice, however you may wanna upgrade to a heavier set of rear springs before you beat the shocks out.
