I get "The Kiplinger Letter" here at work and read this little tidbit.

"Fees on makers of non-road vehicles and engines are in the works from EPA to help cover its oversight costs. Makers of on-road vehicles and engines already pay the fees. Soon manufacturers of lawn mowers, recreational vehicles, marine vessels and more also will be assesed."

That SUCKS!!!! Guess who gets to pay the fees?!?!?!

That why its a good idea to keep your old sled that way you will not need to deal with fee's and emissions. Of course they could start having us all take our sleds in for testing just like autos!!!

Can you imagine *clean air testing for sleds http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif We would all fail miserably. The sleds come SO pig rich from the factory in an attempt to lower warranty claims. *If they want the epa to take them seriously then lets properly set these things up from the get go. *There i feel better now.
