I'm not so sure I'm gonna run out and buy this....:slick:....I downloaded and played the demo version (not the SW "branded" version) and I was not impressed at all. The REV BARELY looks like a REV....it's kinda disappointing. :whatever: Although I'd like to get into playing it online with other SW members so I may end up buying it so that I can be ggod at it when it comes time to play online.

Does anyone know if the courses are new or are they the same as the old ones? Will the "full" version be better than the demo in reguards to graphics or courses? If not, then I'll just keep playing my old "ZX" version of the game.... :slick:

I have been playing it for a while using the VERY HIGH setting for graphics and I think it is some of the best play I have seen in ANY sled game.

While the graphics are very similar to the old game, the sled dynamics are MUCH better.

You can view all the track names under the HIGHSCORE area of x-teamracing.net. Looks like most are new.

Maybe I'll have to try it on the "very high" graphics mode, I only set it to "high" I think. As far as the tracks, those are the same ones as the old game. I have the cheat codes for the old game that open up all the tracks and they're the same ones. Maybe they changed them up a little while keeping the same names?

For those of you having a hard time staying out of the tree's....:p....try using a controller/joystick if your're using a keyboard, it's much easier to control the sled then.

Is there a way to contact them directly and sign up? I have been trying for almost a week to sign up and it will not go through.

All I get is this:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to www.x-teamracing.net:80 in /opt/apache/htdocs/resolution/xteam/_system/functions/misc_inc.php on line 61
Could not connect >>> (110 - Connection timed out)[/b]

I love the demo but would like to get online and play with you guys.

During registration before the buy. I am trying to create a login and it errors out.

Corey feel free to delete this as I am not meaning to down the game and I hope it does not come across that way. I think the demo is AWESOME!

Thanks for any help with it.

Here is what I see in explorer :

Error

* Sign up failed. Be sure that you have entered all information.[/b]

I have all of the information entered yet it gives me this every time.

**UPDATE**

I have it now. I guess the error was the name has already been taken. That should be looked at because it gave no error and I just was guessing at the problem.

OK Let's play!

I to had trouble trying to register using my old XTR name / PW / email address. Once I used a new name (CoR) and different email address, no problems

Can I use my old registered version of XTeam or do I have to buy a new one to play online?

Looking forward to it,
Cheers,
Joel

You need the new version as the old version will NOT connect to the new servers.

when trying to run the demo, I get the error before it starts:

3DGM Error:
gm_OpenGLError
err param: "invalid enumerant"

everything downloaded just fine. any ideas? Do i have to uninstall my old version of Xteam racing?

Update your video and sound drivers to the absolute latest. If that doesn't work, you'll need a new video card. I had the same exact problem and ended up getting a new card.

Computer illiterate that would be me

Everything is set up and ready to go. Now it wont open, it gives me the choice online or offline when I click the link. However it says I have no internet conx, BS, I have a modem. So I try and play offline and it tells me you have to play online, offline is not an option. Obviously I am missing something, but what?

I just checked and their server is up so you should be able to play. Try restarting your system once more, I don't see why it wouldn't connect.

Complete reboot and it still says the same thing. This is driving me nuts, never had this much trouble with a game before. Do you need something open, I just click the link and it won't let me in even offline. Why have an offline mode if you can't do it then? SkidooMatt will be down sometime in the next few weeks and I will see if he can hack into it. Until then I will just keep trying.

Just taking a guess here...but have you signed up for an account on the x-team racing site? Maybe that's why you're having problems??

Yes but that isn't it. I can't even get that far. It doesn't recognize my internet connection.

Ok, then....let's start from the beginning.

When you double click on the X-Team icon to start the game, does this dialog box pop up?

[attachmentid=23726]

If so, when you enter in your user name and password does the dialog box look like this?

[attachmentid=23727]

Once you click "play", the game should start.

tell me how to do a screenshot and I will show ya. Corey once we get this figured out I will delete this mess.

I have 3 guys at the zstorm helpdesk thoroughly confused.

Do you run IE 5.5? have net framework 1.0 or greater? XP firewall on or off?

Trust me I am working on it.

SkidooMatt

To do a screen shot, just hit the button on your key board (usually above the number pad) that says "Prt Scr/Sys Rq" and then that will copy the screen image to the clipboard. Now just paste it into your favorite photo editing software and save it as an image. MS Paint will work too.

Internet 6.0, yes, off (using Norton)

Well it was one of 3 IE, net framework or Norton Firewall. Now a new problem which is complete BS

No need to delete, maybe it will help others. Try uninstalling, then reinstall again to see if the ownership issue goes away.

Here is the scoop.

Need IE 5.5 or better
Net framework from windows 1.0 or greater
CHECK FIREWALLS

I think my firewall was the issue. I have now enabled my firewall to be up but enabled the xteam software to run through it.

The last problem was that my purchase had not been finalized (could be an easy explanation for that). The guys at x-team site were great and easy to work with. David finalized my purchase and i can now load. Still have not actually done it but it recognizes everything and should be good to go. After the outlaws leave I will get on and make sure it is up.
