Has anybody swapped there precisons ski out for the old flex skis. I hear of a lot of rev guys doing this, just wondering which is better for the ZX.

From day one with these skis I didn't like the loose snow handling, or lack their of. On a hard packed trail it corners like its on rails, but come into a tight corner with all the snow loosen up, and it just goes straight. I have 6" carbides on inside and outside, front shocks set to 3, limiter strap pulled right up, skid fully coupled, and it still pushes in the loose stuff.

Anyway I think I'm going to try the flex's, I got nothing to lose, my old man has an 2000 FD 700 with the flex skis.

I hooked up with a couple older guys, They went from prec skis to the flex ski and put the woody's dual runner carbides on them, they loved them!! and advised me to do the same. SWRules SWRules

I tried it on my sled and put the precisions back on. They just didn't corner as well as the precisions did. Very seldom do I ride in loose snow more than 6 to 8 inches so the flex didn't help me much there and as far as groomed trails 2 bars are better than 1 bar

I've never rode flex skiis on a zx sled, but I've ridden them on my wife's sled and other older sleds, and I like the precision better. IMHO they're one of the best skiis in the hard pack, and I don't think they're quite as bad in the powder as many people say. In deep powder you steer by leaning the sled anyway...

Personally I have experienced a set of Simmons flex ski's and they rock .vs. the percision skis. You feel very secure with them and they handle like your on rails. They are on the expensive side @ $400. But I put a set on my cat as well and it was unbelievable the difference they made.

I would try the flex skis. you sound like you have the same problems that I had. I put the flex skis on & my sled works great. I am going to run woodys dooly carbides this year. I have heard alot of good stuff about them.

From experiance the flex skis work better on the rev chassis and precisions on the zx chassis.

Had a 99 MXZ 600 HO with flex skis. loved em.

Got a 2003 REV MXZ 600 HO X with precision skis. hated them.

Put Flex skis on the Rev. IT ROCKS

I was able to lower my limiter strap back down.
The flex skis steer way better with less ski pressure needed.

Switch skis with your old man!
