on whatever time you guys and gals decide on. Morning, Afternoon, more towards evening.

I say we do it early as we will have a 2-3 hour drive coming home so we will not want to stay to late.

Good news - the Beck road exit ramps & bridge are FINALLY open to all traffic...so if you are coming from the west or north or you just dont want to deal with Novi Road you can use the Beck road exit for all traffic.

This will be the first MAJOR event for the new expo center, now located on Grand River Ave. (1/4 mile east of Beck Rd, north side of Grand River - where the former rest stop for eastbound I96 traffic used to be). This should be a huge improvement from the old location both in access and size. The new location is 3 times the size of the old place! w00t

Best approach will be either exit off I-96: Novi (exit 162)or Beck (exit 160) roads.

I suggest we either all meet for breakfast before the show or we meet at 3pm, that way people can come in and get most of their shopping out of the way before meeting each other. I know, personally, I want to get in and walk through the place for a while first so I can hunt down the good deals and jump on them before they sell out of anything.....then I'd like to meet up. For those that know where the old expo center was, the Rock Financial Center is approx 1 mile to the west of the expo center on Grand River (the first road that runs east/west south of the highway)

They have had a couple of big shows there allready, we had our CNC machine show there in September and it was full.

Anyone know where the swap will be?

Where are we meeting? Fred mentioned a resturant in Brighton. I think Idooski mentioned Big Boy. Any other suggestions?

I am all about checking out Freds place but some may want to be closer to the show.

I got there at 5:30pm on Friday and didn't quit spending until they pushed us out the door at 10:15 :p . Of course I could of used at least another hour, almost shot down there for a second fix on Sat. :)

Picked up a 1.25x136 6-pitch myself, thought I stole it @ $325 shipped to my door. Good luck deciding which to stretch, I like my long tracks. I've done a ZX chassis before, that was pretty straight forward. Wonder if the tipped tunnel of a rev will make things any harder?

It was very cool seeing you guys.

I spent aorund $700 I think all day including fuel and food. I think I got my money worth for sure and was very excited about everything. Hanging out with Blair Morgan for a little bit was kinda cool as well. I think I heard Idooski giving him tips on going faster and not playing so much.

I got a pretty good deal of the day as well. I got a Ski Doo TekVest for $120. I was and am still pretty excited about this. I thought I was going to have to wait a few years before getting one. Others items purchased were, Fleece Shirt and riding pants, Jersey, Sweat ShirT hoodie, Vforce 3 Reeds, several hats, a few toys for my son, blaclava, and some helmet parts.

I have anew respect for women that shop all day and carry all those bags around. My friggin hands hurt like crazy at the end of the day. Thank God after Donna and Idooski bought half the place they decided to go back and buy a rolling duffle bag so I didn't have to keep holding all the bags. They then however stuck me pulling it around. It was a labor of love. Next year I hope to have a wagon with me to carry everything.

I can't wait to see you guys on the trail.

I'm glad you guys found good deals. Because I didn't see much to write home about. Atleast compared to the Nelson's show. Some stuff was Highway robbery. Still was a good time though. Had a couple soda's too. Then went for a good dinner at Fridays. I wish I would have known I was going earlier. I could have met up with some of you too.

I think they are called CSS or something. It's instead of hand signals.

Yes I saw them but thought the price was a little too much just like anything oyu buy that is LED.

1. I didn't even know that people used hand signals to do that.
2. I have never seen anyone do that.
3. It looks cool but they are trying to make it "mandantory" and I hate rules.
4. I want color options damnit! Maybe I want red or blue. I could look like a PO PO and it would work better anyway. They would think I was a cop on a sled and slow down for sure.
5. The speed in which I have seen many sleds go by there is no way in hell the would see some little LEDs or a hand signal.


Anyway with all that said I think it was a cool idea. I also like the high output LEDs for decorating you sled. I might do those as well.

Yeah, I can't see myself shelling out 150 bucks for any right now. But I think it would be good if they went to the manufacturers of the sleds to try and get them on right from the factory. I imagine we are all hesitant just like people may have been when they wanted to put turn signals on cars and motorcycles.
To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing turnsignals on sleds too. But I guess I'm just kind of on a safe kick lately.
