Have a 96 XLT 600 with the extra 12 suspension. Looking for a good Trail clutch setup. Also what is the difference between the XLT and the XLT SP. The jetting chart is way different between the two. And it's running really fat. Stock jets are 260 mains. Iam also at 1100ft. Thanks Sled only has 1228 miles. Thanks

Stock clutching and gears go as follows.

Primary 10 MB bushed blue spring
Secondary 34 helix #2 stock secondary spring
Gearing 21-39 gearing

Added the jetting chart. I made it a little to big sorry. As you can see the difference between the two is big.

Something else to look at is the needle and seat. Polaris for a few years used a brass tipped needle which would wear and leak. The other symptom of the needle and seat was hard starting after sitting with the fuel on. The replacement needle and seats are viton tipped.

I use an EPI Trail kit in my XLT. It seems to really like it. It was a huge difference over stock and actually helped out the mileage a bit. Money well spent.
