I have a 97 ultra sp and it has the psi pipes and its ported, I have the stock exhaust that I want to put back on it, the question is if I have to change the jets for the stock pipes and if I do then to what size? Thanks

When I went to PSI twins on my 700, PSI said to jet three sizes richer for the increased airflow. If that holds true for the triple, then you could drop a couple of sizes and check your plugs and wash, just to be safe. Carbs set to work with the triple pipes will definitely be too rich for the stock single.. but with the porting, it may still flow more than stock, so you may still need to be richer than stock.

I have a 97 with psi tripples had to do major re jetting and gearing.Had to change every part in the carbs including needle jets and slides, only thing that stayed the same was the needles. But wow does that sled go with the psi's, absolutely smokes 800 twins anywhere any time, very reliable.
Made a quiet can for mine with a polaris tripple DG can very easy.[attachmentid=24290]

Thats what I thought but the only thing in the carbs that were changed was the main jets. I'm running 360 mains now but I think its a lil to lean. I can't tell I looked at the plugs and there a lil greyish white. Is this to hot.

I think the original main jets were 350. look either on the inside of the hood or the clutch cover and most polaris's will show the original jetting specs. If you only changed main jets ,that sled never ran to it's full potential,or PSI pipes did'nt do much.I had a 96 and had to change
pilots,jet needles,mains,clutching, gearing up 1 or 2 sizes. I had SLP's
on mine.I don't think it will run very well with stock pipe and can and ported cylinders.

You should be at least 390-400 on mains at low elevation,Q2 needle jet, stock needles work great with the mod blasters, 3 or 2 on clip, 3.0 cutaway on slides 40-45 pilots,1.85 gearing in case, stock weights and spring in primary work well 8800-9000 rpm.Replace the 3 into 1 collector with a DG polaris triple can(minor mods fits great)to keep the mod's quiet.
This is a very fast very reliable very fun sled with the PSI's when set up properly

you might have some tuning problems. stock motor was made to run at 8100 rpm with stock pipe. Now that your ported you moved the power band up to 8500-8800 depending on your port hieght. Thats fine for tripple pipes where their ment to work at but now you want the motor to make peak power at a lower rpm were the the cyl aren`t going to be makeing peak power until 500-800 more rpm. most likely you`ll have to try and clutch it for 8300rpm . your jetting also depends on temp and elevation. stock mains 0-3000ft =360 and i think stock jet needles were =p-4 and needles were 6dh4, pilots=30(?).put it all back to stock and check your plug readings and piston wash at 1/4,1/2,3/4 and full postions and go from there.

Don't even bother putting stock pipe backon. It will run like ####.And you won't be able to make it run good. Already tried that on a XLT special, ran like #### with ported cylinders and stock pipe..
