Hi everyone,
What I notice when I raise the skis off the ground, there is slop in the skis side to side. I have already replaced the bushings in the ski leg, still have slop. Is their a tolerance side to side. I know it is affecting my handling. Has anyone seen the ski leg worn to create this? I am close to purchasing new ski liners, but it doesn't appear that the whole ski assy is available just pieces parts.

thanks Paul

You referred to replacing ski leg bushings in your post. You can file a little material off the inside ends (opposite end from the shoulder) of the bushings to remove some lateral play then crank the ski bolt tight enough to eliminate most of the play. I would recommend also replacing the rubber jounce bumpers which go in between the ski leg and ski. These are rarely replaced and have a great effect on bump steer and carbide contact (darting). A rule of thumb is to start where you have by replacing the ski pivot bushings then check the trailing arm bushings. On these I would advise OEMs as the jobber one are a little sloppy. Having the handle bars locked in the straight ahead position (using a tie down) and wiggling the skis you wil find a good stack up of loose components in the steering / suspension.

Thanks. I had planned on putting on the ski liner oem replacements. Any suggestions positive of negative of these. I do not have studs and usually run 6" of carbide .
